Extraction runs on the Easting service, so every surface starts with an account. There is no offline mode and no key to bring: the service holds the model and the prompt, and your key is what identifies you to it.
Get a key
Section titled “Get a key”Start free gives you three documents and takes no card. They never expire. A $30 document pack holds ten credits on the same terms, for anyone who meets a legal description a few times a year.
In QGIS you can do the whole thing without opening a browser: Easting → Settings… → Start free collects an email, a company and a role, and writes the key straight into your QGIS profile.
The key is shown once and looks like east_live_…. Nothing on our side can
recover it, because only its digest is stored. Lost it? Mint a replacement at
your account page; the old one keeps working
until you revoke it.
A sign-in invitation for app.easting.ai arrives by email, so one account opens the browser, QGIS and the API.
Then pick a surface
Section titled “Then pick a surface”| good for | |
|---|---|
| The browser | Nothing to install. Read a document, review it, place it, export. |
| QGIS | You already have a project, layers and a CRS, and want the parcel to land in it. |
| The API | A pipeline, a nightly job, or your own interface over the top. |
Same account, same quota, same files out. A document read in the browser bills exactly as one read in QGIS.
